Right now, its about where i was expecting it to be ; a high quality Table top.

There's obvious mistake, my brush arent as sharp as others, but still, i was wondering what i could do to improve?

Freehand on the banner sound like a nice idea and all, but i'm not very good with a brush.

Maybe the picture could be improved?

Anything?

I love the face! You've managed to pack in a fair bit of emotion there. One thing i have noticed is the highlights seem rather hard and applied quite thick. There is no transition in the colour. Some blending on the skin and cloak would make it look nicer.

As for freehand, i practise designs on a piece of plastic icecream tub lid thats been undercoated. I use it as a doodle pad to try out different things. Try a few designs on that first then have a go on the real thing.

Thanks. For the transition in the color, i just feel that it look better on the table (since after all, all my minis are to be played). I attempted also to paint muscle, which requires (imho), to use very strong contrast.

I'll think about the freehand, but i'm scared of scrapping a painted banner if i screw up the free hand.

Dont be afraid of screwing the banner up. You can always repaint it if things go wrong. If you dont try something because of fear you never will nail it.
