Ogre & Bugbear "pick a fight" WIP

I just need some help creating a better base for my miniatures. Bugbear kiddo picks a fight with a full grown Ogre (old GW-miniatures). The bugbear was painted about 26 or 27 years ago when I was still wet behind my ears and the ogre was painted last week. My first paintjob since 1998 so I´m still a little rusty, shaky and so on....Anyhow...

I am gonna remove some of the grass on the side of the wooden base and yes, the ogre´s hair isnt finished. Yet. Btw, I know the working area looks like a real mess but I´m gonna get organized someday. Hopefully.

Anybody got a suggestion about the base?

Add some other bits. Maybe some sticks painted up as fallen logs and put some static grass on them as moss. And a couple clumps of grass. I just bought some of the army painter tufts and they work well.
