Nice, but im nt keen on the brightness of the yellows on the skin or the highlighting on the trousers, its to sudden and contrasting compared to the rest of the mini.

Mucho Liko the rust effects!

I realy like the rust effect. How did you do this?
But the \"tattoos\" doesn\'t match the rest of the mini. :(

I agree about the rust effects: very nice and well done. The weathering is very good overall.

The skin is smooth and clean, and it\'s good that you can paint it that way, but it doesn\'t seem to fit this particular mini.

Still, some really good work. Voted.

I think this is great! Although the yellow tats around his \'tats\' is a big no go for me.

It really does detract attention away from the natural focal point, the face, and makes you look at his nellies.:|~

Thank you very much for your votes and comments. The goal i was trying to achieve in this miniature was - strong 7 on coolminiornot and it\'s done! So, i\'m very happy! )) Next target, obviously - 8.

1) About the skin...thanks very much..But my opinion (when i look on it at final step) that it\'s too dark and not enough contrast. And my blending still is not as i try to achieve every time i painting.

The basecoat was 50/50 graveyard earth + shadow grey. And then highlightnings were made in 3 or 4 layers by adding to the basecoat mix more adn more kommando khaki.

2) The rust on his blade was made just following great tutorial of Alan C. Here is it: http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/246/page/2

3) The tatoos. Yeah, i agree with Crackpot. The only excuse for them may be that this is the first try in freehand )))

I\'ll be better! )

I like the skintone you\'ve achieved (may steal that for some orcs ;) ) and the rusty metal etc. Not keen on the tatoos but whose to say what an ogre\'s tastes are?

However, for me the best parts are the metal bracers on his arms. I think they\'ve been worked up perfectly.

Have voted too

It has already been said but I say it again: the metal is grrreat! as is the rust effect on the weapon... I think it\'s really nice to once in a while see something not painted in NMM.

Have voted for you. Hope to get the guts to post my first mini myself some time in the future...
