It looks good so far. I do like the chain strap, but I don\'t know enough about the product line to know if that was part of the conversion itself.

Now, I hope you don\'t get discouraged about your score on this. I noticed it was your first post in the forum and in your gallery. Obviously, it\'s a work in progress, and thus unpainted. That\'s going to get you a low score right away.

Then, the pictures are a tad small. You\'ve got 600 pixels wide and 200kb of file size to use, and use them you should. It is hard to really see anything, especially with a black primed mini.

Finally, you\'ve done the dreaded \"Another mini\" as the title of it. That\'ll bring the wrath of a lot of voters and they\'ll ding you down for it. Yeah, bit spiteful, but it\'s a good thing to do. People won\'t be able to search for it in the future. Converted Ogryn or such is more descriptive and helpful. The voting is as much about presentation as painting, if not more.

Everything Peg said :p

I like the conversion though - what\'s he got - a Lascannon or an autocannon?

Welcome to the forums, firephinix.

I pretty much agree with Peg there.

It\'s a nice conversion although I think the barrell needs drilling. You\'ll have to show another pic when it\'s painted.

thanks for the replys.
as u all can tell this is my first post/ pic so im still learning.

how do i make the pic bigger?

at DaN is a upside autocannon from a old tallern desert raiders model that i had. the chain is from the great unclean one chain hand.

im not so keen about drilling barrells but i might do a bit at the end.

Usually, it\'s a matter of not making the original pictures smaller. The way I usually make mine is to crop the originals to the view I want, then scale that cropped pic to the right size (600 pixels wide for full across, 300 for half way). I then copy and paste them into a new picture that is set at 600 wide and enough down that I can get everything in. Once all the views are in, I recrop to remove the bottom waste and I\'m done.

What program are you using to make your pictures?

Make a new file. Go to Image>Attributes. Change the image to be measured in pixels, then the 600 pixels wide. Then on the image you want to copy and paste into that, you\'ll have to play with the Image>Stretch/Skew values to get it to the size you want. Then copy and paste that into your final image. But, like I said, if your original pictures are smaller than that to begin with, you might need to adjust your camera settings.

Hope that helps.

MUCH better pictures. They need to be cropped better, but I\'m going to give you kudos on having them improved so much. That first one is very close to what you\'ll need to have.

Be sure to check out the photography articles and threads. They\'ve got lots of good information!

Granddad!
you made it, great!

as Peg said check the articles section, as well as asking questions here. You may well find you\'ve answered a question by reading an article
I don\'t mean you have to read all of them before you ask any questions tho lol

The article on GIMP is really good, and you can download it free from www.download.com

The Ogryns looking really good now, keep it up

Looks very nice! Congrats!

And you\'ve just reminded me that I wanted to print out some more gradients as backgrounds. That may be the next step for you, too.
