I agree with monkey on the zombie quantity but less is better than having to many, my excuse is those are the fastest two :p

Also any views from further out to get a grasp on the size of the piece?

Nice idea and well executed, top job

cracking job there fella. not a fan of the zombies (i would have stuck with the ones from incursion) but the overall scene is ace

MORE ZOMBIES!!!

(sorry for shouting)

Nice work but more Zombies are required to add tension. It just looks like a geezer in super armour is going to knack two zombies. Excellent painting allround.

Meh, I\'ll see about adding some more zombies... I\'ll have to buy the blighters first though :D I thought I\'d already got a pack of the Incursion Zs but can\'t find the feckers anywhere???

Nice work BB. Love the incursion range! Through a clerical error I got the entire range... twice. Paid for it all though.

I would like to see how you paint one in the more traditional, ugh, I hate the term for a power armored WWII guy but, \"Historical\" colors. I am going to paint up a couple next month and other then the work they have up on their site I haven\'t seen to many of this range finished up. Which is a shame.

Nicely done, and good luck in IP!

The sculpt I painted was a bit hit and miss in places... the sculpt is lovely but the detail from the casting was a bit soft, which is a pain with a 2 week deadline lol... I\'m planning on getting the German guy with the diving helmet... It may well get a few daubs of drab :D

Looks cool mate :)
the reason people are saying that it needs more zombies is the mass of unused space on the diorama.

if you took the middle third and moved all the models into that space you would still have the scene you have set, without the feeling that this guy isn\'t challenged at all.

it\'s about using the space available, all too often, be it a single figure or diorama we use a base that is way too big.
take a look at a lot of the top french, spanish, british and american painters/modellers work. they utilse all the space available, if it doesn\'t have a model in it, there is a piece of scenery that realy adds to the story.

just something to think about :)

Yeah... i really only miss a bit more evil in there... evil has been spread around the globe, zombies are everywhere but then this guy steps out of his bunker and rocks that shit away... MOOOORRRRREEEEEE!

Cool work! Keep on happy painting!

Awesome piece of advice and so true. The added space makes the viewers brain think that he is unchallenged and makes them expect there to be more.

Great advice generul and i hope you start another diorama soon BB as the ideas are there :D

What did you use for the dust on the cement columns and rubble? It\'s amazing. Is it MiG pigment? Tell me!

@ Scott ... the dust is from an artist\'s pastel in an ochre type colour that I scraped off with my scalpel and then just \'dusted\' on with a soft brush and sealed with fixative (actually the wife\'s hairspray as I couldn\'t find the proper fixative lol)

Oki... I\'m gonna add more Z\'s to this... I understand the use of space etc... but I did this on quite a short deadline for Iron Painter and ran out of time to be honest... I absolutely agree a small horde would be much better! :D

Well... I just glanced at the score... can\'t believe this isn\'t 8+... sigh.... must be the UJ... or maybe I\'m just out of touch with cmon....

I wouldnt take the raw score to seriously, we all know they can be way off, especially if its not an SM commander or something. I forget, but isnt there a way to just check the registered user scores only as opposed to the total accumulated one? Cause they are usually more accurate... or so I hope.

registered vote is less...

disappointing again really.... however, as the wise maintain... they\'re only scores and not in any way a gauge of improvement or in reality of any discernable worth.... Still a shitter though.

Don\'t put too much weight by the score, the painting is spot on.

I still stand by my first post, although it was more of a blurt than a reasoned argument Poley/Chris put forward.

More Zombies (and gore) :D
