Ok Strange question.

Want to keep the companies names anonymous at the moment, so people can give me an unbiased opinion.

Q: Would you buy from a company that you know stocks/supports products from a company that you dont agree with their practices?

I wouldn\'t necessarily buy those products from the questionable company, even from the non-questionable source. But, I probably wouldn\'t mind dealing with the non-questionable source, unless I had some issues that had to do specifically with that company.

I agree with Ritual. As long as I don\'t buy the products from the \"bad\" company I see no problem with otherwise supporting the \"good\" company through buying from the rest of their range.
After all, whether a company is questionable or not is usually a matter of personal opinion and I would never discriminate someone just because he happens to be friends with someone that I\'m not fond of. I just choose to ignore the one I don\'t like.

1. Can I get said product elsewhere/How much do I want said product

2. How much I disagree with their practices

What is a \"bad\" practice? Most businesses are in business to make a product and sell it at a profit.

It\'s all relative.

If it were something I really disagreed with, and could buy the same product elsewhere (even at a higher price) I would avoid the first company.

A strange question would be more along the lines of \'How much marmalade does it
take to fill up 3 pairs of Dragonsreach\'s
shorts?\'.

It\'s a very difficult question to answer, without going into specifics, but as an answer I can say that I have boycotted specific produce held in some stores, but not the store itself.

Everything and everyone is connected in one way or another, if you look hard enough any part of the supply chain to you will have a problem. It really depends on how intimate the relationship is between the two companies (e.g. there\'s probably an ethical difference between a company buying electricity that is ultimately manufactured from gas pumped by a corrupt and ruthless government, the electricity company itself, and the corrupt officials themselves.)

And if you don\'t want to be a roaring hypocrite, how much it costs you shouldn\'t matter (almost all European nations buy gas from Russia, so ethics aren\'t a huge issue for their electorate, heating in winter is more important).

Either you do it with your eyes open, or you don\'t. It becomes more difficult in today\'s age to claim you didn\'t know when a google search is a click away.

as for the question I would not buy the bad companies product if I could get an alternative, if not would buy it from good company so I know some of the money is going to good (ish)

Actually, I really like snails in garlic butter. Delicious! :drool: Oysters? Bleh! You can keep \'em! (Well, they\'re just about ok cooked, but raw? Ewwwww! :|~)
