Ok this is messed up..Genetic Mutated Glowing cats!

You know they say its for the betterment of mankind now, but soon someone is gonna say \"Hey I bet we could sell them\" and every pet shop in the world is gonna have glowing cats for sale.

This ranks right up there with the Labradoodle and the Munchkin..

This is how we eventually Get Godzilla...

Let me know when they\'re able to create cats with feathered wings, and I\'ll be first in line.

Speech and spellcasting ability not required! :D

Oh! That\'s easy! Just look at this simple plan of action:

1) Create glowing cats.
2) ? ? ?
3) Cure all known diseases!

It was really obvious. I\'m surprised you didn\'t pick up on it.

It\'s the first step in creating cats with other super powers. Soon we\'ll have flying cats, telepathic cats, cat\'s with the ability to drill for oil and the ever elusive Schroedingers cat.

The end result of course is to develop the Samurai Pizza Cats.

I worry what\'s being done in the shadows with humans.

I think it was one of the guys that originally discovered DNA said that messing with genes was going to make nuclear weapons look like nothing.........

Aye, I was about to post something similar. Agricultural, industrial, technological and Information revolutions all coming along exponentially faster. Shudder to think what a genetic one could do. Then again in a few generations every child being born with an IQ of 200+, able to regenerate limbs, no genetic diseases, total immunity and a life expectancy into four figures sounds somewhat interesting and not entirely impossible. Lord knows what it will do to evolution, population and social stability though.

Something for greater minds than mine to worry over in any case, I\'m for one rather enjoy being a normal bloke and being amazed at the marvels that seem to be coming along. (Computerised sight for the blind was the last big \"wow\" moment).

Oh and... I want a white one that glows pink! ;)

Great lolcat! I love cats, but I gotta admit the glow in the dark beasties are a little creepy... I wonder if it make it hard for them to see in th edark.

What\'s up with S. Korean scientists? This is probably the 3rd article I\'ve seen on glowing animals created by S. Koreans. Are they breeding friggin\' Pokemon or what?

Actually guys, while cute, it is rather old news. So called green fluorescent proteins have been used as markers for ages and \"green mice\" were created several years ago. This people used red version of the same protein. The only reason media noticed is because cats are domestic animals and everybody can relate.
