More on topic, how are people doing for performance on MoC? I had to set everything to \"medium\" to get halfway decent framerate, and it\'s still not exactly lickety-fast on my new top end eMachines rig (top end for eMachines... budget for everyone else.)

What are your experiences?

*EDIT* Expensive? Not really, not when you begin to compare them to similar PC products. And £80 for Mac OSX £180+ for Windows XP, and thats only the basic edition.

Yeah, but who really pays for Windows XP?
Doesn\'t everyone have a bootleg copy?lol

Back on topic...

I downloaded the game, and am really impressed by the graphics.....seems to be kind of fun, from what I have played of it.

I don\'t know about all of you, but I\'m not that impressed. It just has that \"been there, done that\" feel. It reminded me of playing the old Warhammer PC games from the early 90\'s.

After Dawn of War, I just expect.... more.

It did have a throwback feel to it...but I loved DARK OMEN, so its not that bad of a deal...

I\'ve played a bit more, and it seems a bit monotonous...not that that is particularly bad, but I want strategy to play more into it. It seems once the two units are thrown into combat, there is very little for you to do, until it is decided. Possibly the push to make everything in REAL TIME hurts this a bit. You cannot sense the ebb and flow of the battle the way I\'d imagine you could in a turn based game.

At least in Shadow of the Horned Rat and Dark Omen you could feverishly click that button with the flexing arm on it. Did it help? I couldn\'t tell, but it made me feel like I was doing something.

One thing that bugged me about MoC was the tutorial with the duel in it. That duel went on for literally an hour, and neither duelist died, even when reduced to zero health. After a while, I was leaving it on just to see how long it would go... then I fell asleep in my chair, woke up later and abort the mission, duelists still going at it.

Yes...clicking that arm helped immensely...or at least I think it did something....I think it gave me carpal tunnel syndrome...
