Old citadel paints!

Hello, my first thread here at CMON and I\'m very interested in the old citadel paints, i saw some on ebay and my fingers started to immediately itch. I dont have paypal yet since i have to change my bank and stuff, so it might take a while.

The question is as follows; Are these fairly rare or do they sometimes show up on ebay(fairly common that is)? My eyes may have been fooled but the paints im interested in are these

I don\'t really know why i need them but they kinda look superbad ass

Anyway, Hello! Don\'t know where questions like these go but Painting and conversions seemed good enough

Yeah Coat d\'arms is good stuff. Most of the old Citadels aren\'t worth the hassle of tracking them down. There\'s just so many solid paint ranges out there these days. Some of the unique colors can be worth the effort, and stuff like colored metallics and inks are really high quality. Nobody makes inks and metallics like Citadel/Coat d\'arms.

I know this has come up before, but who in France makes the current Citadel paints for GW? The new pots still say \"Made in France\" ...

When I first started painting mini\'s back in the mid 1990\'s I really enjoyed those paints. I thought they were the best thing possible. Now, looking back, they are pretty much just the same as the rest of the lines out there. Right now I use Reaper\'s master series paints and I enjoy how they turn out. I see there are several different options available at this time however these are just more readily available for me. I do not like the new citadel paints either, but also I don\'t think it is worth the hassle to track down the older ones. Keep in mind they have been out of production for several years and the quality of the paints may not be up to the standard you are looking for, especially if they were used and not stored properly.

Coat d\'arms made the original citadel paints and still make all of them with variations on the names including all the colours they stopped doing, there the original formulation just the pots dont have any GW labels ;)

I thought the paints were still made in china, atleast all the current paints I have are chinease manufactured but then I dont own any foundation paints or any new washes of wich im gutted they took away my favourite old flesh wash but thats a rant for another time :D

If I\'m not mistaken, it\'s \"Lefranc & Bourgeois\", or something like that :

Great stuff, I\'m gonna buy some Coat D\'arms colors when i get the money, also some P3 paints, but the old citadel colors are more of a collectors item for me, and i dont really like the new ones, atleast the ones i have experience with.

When painting minis i prefer VMC and Andrea(wich i need to go get a few more of Dark leather PHEW what a color!)

Thanks for all the good replies!
