Old LotR figures.. check them out!

Thanks for posting the link for these Bakalla - it has saved me some work. I went up in the roof last weekend and I found a box of old minis
To my joy I found:
Gandalf
Saruman
Legolas x 2
Strider x 2
Edit: and Borimir!

@supervike: I know! I wonder how one person has managed to collect such an enormous amount of miniatures?!
I would also like to know how one person has ever possibly been able to paint so many figures? They\'re all nicely painted too. To paint a figure to that standard must take several hours.. and considering how many minis there are on his site, that guy must be 200 years old, no?

Yup, you aren\'t far wrong! It\'s a \'love/hate\' relationship I have with my roof. I hate all the crap I have squirrelled away up there, but then I love all the models I have stored up there
The same time I found the LoTR figs, I also came down with some really old issues of WD (81,82,85 & 89). They are huge in size compared to the ones these days and have lots of articles and ads for other figure manufacturers. Shock horror! Plus the excellent Thrud cartoons
*sigh* I think my no.2 New Year\'s resolution will be to catalogue all my figures. I love Steve Deans website and would like to do the same sort of thing - although 99% of mine will be unpainted of course

It would be incredible to have a comprehensive listing of everything I have here.
I have some of those old White Dwarf\'s as well. They are fun to thumb through, considering all the changes that it has gone through.
The early issues have the same vibe that I get from the new Harbinger mag. You know, not exactly super professional yet, but the writers and staff just have a real passion for the hobby....

There is a hobby shop not far from where I live that has boxes of old citadel minis. I sometimes wonder how many awesome minis are just sitting in old hobby shops waiting to be discovered. It is funny cause when I saw those LOTR minis, I went and checked and they actually had some of those.

Well, Tooshy, if they\'re taking up too much room I would always volunteer to \"store\" them at my place - they might even get painted while they\'re here.
Edit - I\'d even pay to ship em to storage, and not charge you a storage fee.
