Well, I got a few Reaper figures acouple weeks back, and the first one I decided to do was the new Stern Kestrelmann figure.

Besides a few PITA seams (down the middle of the face and in the folds of the cloak... oi), this was a real joyful experience. I wanted to push myself to try new things, so this is my very first attempt at lighting effects, as well as a scenic base (which is also my first attempt at sculpting, albeit nothing major...).

Votes and comments would be much appreciated: http://www.coolminiornot.com/60406

very good work!

Only your 15th mini huh?

You are making some great strides then.

The face is very characterful and I love the blue robe.

My favorite part though, is definately the shield. It looks very \'battle worn\'.

Good work.

Because the face was miscast, and there were no clearly defined teeth. I may try to go back and paint in some teeth though... abit afraid to though, now :\\

Trevor: Thanks for the advice. I agree that it needs to be more subtle and softer.. I just don\'t have enough skill in blending yet, though, and couldn\'t get a soft gradiant with layers.

Supervike: Thanks... the shield did turn out pretty good, even though I only spent about 5 minuteso n it (It was the last thing I painted).
