It\'s all in that Darkson\'s book.

I don\'t know why people have such problems deciphering colour. Anyway, even if the dude gets the EXACT mixes that she uses, what are the chances that the NMM is going to come anywhere close??!

Bloody internet nannying....

The thing with NMM is that you can use almost any colours and make it look good! The key is blending skill and understanding where to put highlights! Somehow people tend to focus on using the exact same colours as others rather than practice their blending.

That\'s what gets me. It\'s like people trying to hunt down the Holy Grail. As if someone telling you to use Snakebite Leather and white is going to enable you to paint NMM like Ms. Melnik!

Pick yer paints up and BLOODY PRACTICE AND EXPERIMENT!!!

Hardly rocket science is it?:D

I was only trying to help a newby, and to most of them it is rocket science or aeroplane information, it just goes woosh! straight over there heads........

Anyway, if it\'s a kid (read teenager...), you\'ll tell them, then a day later they\'ll be asking the same question....

In severe cases it can be as little as 20 seconds in my experience....:flame:

Hell yes!!! Still on a high having been to the World Expo this month! Am going to see if a fantasy miniature can be entered in the civilian class (saw head judge at the Expo and he said try it and see!)

If you\'re there, we\'ll have to have a beer!

Not sure but Einion might be there too. Can\'t remember if he said he was (Einion?)

It will be third time only for today... Yes, it is chaos black, snakebite leather and skull white, but Spacemunkie\'s answer is better than my own... :rolleyes:

@Rev: There\'s one of my former students who uses CMON regularly, but has yet to use the forums or set up an account (no digicam...). He\'s decent as well for a 16 year old, and rapidly improving.

Stay in touch with a few of the lads who used to be in my form through Messenger. They\'ve formed a rather good band who I\'ve been to see a couple of times too...:flip:

i have to say in the defence of said newbie, i often find the actual colours helpful. admittedly i am colour blind which is why i struggle with that sort of thing (i once painted kel jerhico\'s coat brown - apparently it\'s green, balls). maybe he is too. but i agree that asking all the time is a bit shite and that practice is VERY important
