One of GW's redeeming features...

I was sat outside GW smoking, waiting for it to open after lunch.

There were a couple of kids there waiting for it to open, and when the manager unlocked the door to go back into the shop with his lunch (the shop still being closed on account of his much needed lunch break), the kids started saying 'You have to let us in! The sign says open!'

He had left the 'Open' sign on the door.

They were so full of joy and excitement at the thought of being let into the shop early!

I have to say, the manager is gifted with children, and a real entertainer at heart.

To see children made this happy, I can see at least GW policies are pleasing some people!!

Ok for the policies pf GW which I also don't approve.. But normally most of their staff are kind, helpful and pleasant to talk with... At least I never had bad experiences with the staff.

I've only ever been into a GW store on two seperate occations, but both times I noticed how forward and 'helpful' their staff were, especially compared to other local hobby/comic/nerd stores. I imagine this is a concerted marketing effort on GW's part.

In the vast majority of cases GW staff try to be "Human", doesn't rule out the one or two Trolls or "GW is God Brainwashed bed-wetters" I've come across.

As for the case above the manager didn't HAVE to let them in, technically by depriving himself of his lunchbreak he is putting himself in breach of employment law.
(Had this issue with a former staff member, guy was a right numbnut.)
