Actually, little \"soap bars\" made of stainless steel have been around for a couple of years now. Just rub your hands with those under cold water to get rid of onion or garlic smell or stuff like that. Never tried one of those, mind. Seems to work, as they are now even selling a kind of stainless steel \"lollypop\".

I have one of those steel \"soaps\" and it works really well if I\'ve been handling raw fish. It removes the fish smell very effectively. Never tried it for garlic or onion though...
