Opening doors

Do u have to roll a die when u wish to open door with applicable equipment or does it open automatically ?
I know it costs and action but unsure about the die.

Opening a door does not require a dice roll. It only requires an item that can do it.

Correct. Or a survivor with the Break-In skill (i.e. Elsa).
