Looks fantastic to me. I\'ve only tried NMM once and it looked terrible so I cant really give any tips or anything. I don\'t think I would change anything, looks very very convincing. I would love to see the rest of the mini.

Fantastic. :wow: The colours are just perfect, and the gold bit is even better than the blade! i think maybe the end of the blade could be slightly tidied up, but when you think how small it is... :wow: Extremely impressive, well done.

Well, when it first loaded up, I glanced at the screen and thought that the scalpel blade was just there for scale...and then \"wow!\" Thats utterly fantastic....you have to post the whole mini as soon as possible...

I\'m attempting my first real NMM soon, and you have inspired me. The gold is amazing too...any chance of a tutorial?

thanks guys. i would prefer people to point out things that they think could be done better or things that it\'s missing.

but an ego boost isn\'t going to be turned down.:innocent:

the gold is a little black+cobra leather(snake bite)
add cobra leather (snake bite) until almost pure sleather in colour and then begin to add white.

only use pure white for glare spots.

it\'s not my mix, i have to give credit to alexi z who i pinched it from.

Looks good but the red I assume is the reflection from the gold handle. Its not quite in the right spot. Looks great at a distance but close up it comes out too far on the blade. Also a bright spot about half way along the blade would make it look muck shinier.

Then again I cant do NMM to save myself. Great job color are good.

i think a picture in between those sizes, also showing more of the model would help, because right now i cant decide whether or not it looks like metal, or like a blended blade

I think the only way to improve on that would be to make the blending even smoother.
Also there is quite a bit of white over the whole blade, I would have made some of the edge highlights a little darker thus making the remaining white highlights stand out more and maybe make the light hotspot on the bottom of the blade towards the end a little larger.

I think I\'d agree with Trevor. But the gold is faultless! :innocent: What mini is holding the blade? At the moment the blade alone makes this a 10 for me.

happy painting

The blade is fantastic.
To improve, I might only suggest toning down the red end a bit. The shift is a tad too dark so that rather than appearing as shadow it looks to be tinted red.
