Easiest way to be accurate with the techniques and paint brand used, would be to ask the original artist.

However, looking at the pics, it looked like he primed white, then did a light wash with somehting akin to GW Devlan Mud wash, basecoated the metal with Boltgun Metal or Chainmail then glazed the armor with Scab Red or Red Gore and darkened the wash on the trousers with more Devlan Mud or a very thin dark brown.

Yeah I would ask the artist but not a member of warseer. Plus I respect all you guys on this community. Great so its heavily wash based. How do you suggest he glazed the armour. heavily watering down Scab red so its essentially a wash

I think he layered on the red. The placement looks too precise for a wash. That's my best SWAG. Maybe someone with more experience like Dragonsreach or Einion will be able to comment.

Here's my suggestion of how it was done :-
White primer base
Thraka green wash on the skin
Devlan Mud wash everwhere else
I would say the armour is probably thin coats of Blood red ( maybe Scab red but my money is on Blood Red). Thin enough to control but it still lets some of the randomness of the wash underneath show through.
Extra wash on the trousers - probably more Devlan Mud
Personally I don't see any metallics having been used on the figures.

Not the most outstanding figures I have seen but I bet they were painted in next to no time. Just right for gaming.

Yeah thats what im after, quick and easy so I can knock my blood bowl team out to concentrate on bigger and better things. I'll give one a go and post a pic of what I get, see if I can replicate or improve
