Orc Bust

Hi everyone, i\'ve just finished painting my forgeworld orc bust and was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on it.

Ork Bust

The main problems i came across in painting it was the copper shoulder plate (originally painted with a checked pattern but gave up half way and had to paint over it, making the paint quite thick in that area) and the plume, which i ended up just painting a black/grey colour as to not detract from the face of the miniature.

If anyone has any tips on how i can improve on my next forgeworld model they would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

it looks great and you get a nine from me! i think that is almost flawless and the skin is marvellous.
The only thing i like a little less are the plumes: i know that you did not want them to catch too much attention, but i\'d have painted them in a pale/dirt yellow maybe... but that\'s just a matter of personal taste, it is a great piece!

I like it very much the two coloured face is great did you intend it to be a Death Skull ork.
Definately a strong nine IMO.

Thanks for the comments everyone they\'re much appreciated,

to LouisCypher - your right a dirty yellow colour would have gone quite well, i was also thinking of a brown colour but just decided to use black for simplicity.

to FredrickvonCarstein - i agree about the nmm steel, a real problem area for me, especially on larger areas, but i\'m working on it, you know what they say - practise makes perfect.

to tidoco2222 - tbh i have no idea about the background of 40k, but i had used the half blue, half green face technique on some commission pieces for people and have always liked the look, so went for it on this one to set it apart from some of the others i\'ve seen.

Thanks again everyone. :D
