orc eyes

how do u guys paint em?

i do blood red highlighted by sunburst yellow but they lack that \"oommph\"

any suggestions where im going wrong?

Just used Dark Flesh over White, Then Blood Red Then Flaming Orange.

I use Mechrite Red or Red Gore over a black base and then highlight with Blood Red.I finish with a tiny dot of thinned Skull White.It gives off a very sinister \"shine\".
Also for more centerpiece models e.g. a Hero or Lord I use Chestnut Ink Wash in the recess of the eye to give a more deep and grim impression.
