Orc in the garbage. Requires criticism.

the base is excellent as is the orc my only advice is do something with the metallics on the shoulder pads and the gun , they seem too clean and shiny for orcs to me, try painting them the same as the two rusty wheels on the base maybe some flakes of old pait too. possibly a few dark washes over the trousers and the back of the shirt to highlight the creases. really nice job though?

Really nice painting! But too clean for an ork. Liek cassar has already mentioned there are missing some dust and rust on the ork itself. You are a very neat painter with fine belndings... but clean orks....

The base is a great great thing! It is hillarious. But in my opinion to big for that little Ork itself. It seems a little bit "empty" with only one Orks.

I gave you an 8.

hi atm the metallics drag the mini down a bit imo, it definitely need som more shadig its very flat right now, and some rust would be nice, like the metalstuff at the base. the checkpattern is very nice though and so is the skin of the ork!

i think you should do 2-3 more orks to this scenic base, right now he's lucky not suffering from agoraphobia :D seriously, its a very good base just a little big for this lonely guy. keep it up!

Nice skills and style. Clean and precise. The ork face especially, lovely.

Though am in agreement with the others. Could use some dirtying up.
Like some manky inks or powders for stains, weathering and corrosion. Bits of rust. Patches of paint remaining on shoulder pads and the drum magazine.

Tis a big base isn't it. Could add a few bits to shrink it perhaps. Maybe paint on some footsteps through the ash choked rubble. Another oildrum, this one on fire or gouting black smoke. A grot running past behind him, with another one chasing it. Perhaps an Impy Guard miniature trying to squeeze itself under the rubble to hide from the implacable advance of the ork, or hiding behind an oildrum. A couple other orks to his sides getting riddled by gunfire from off-screen, with exit wounds and explosion ripping them apart.
Or something.

Your metaliics aren't at the same painting level as the rest of the mini, it looks like you've just applied Boltgun Metal on the areas. You have to put washes on them to make them look better. But the rest of the mini is very good. But I agree that you have to dirty up the mini. That base is fantastic.

I paint my thumb.
The ork himself is pretty good, the metalics are improved a lot. Fabrics would need something to make them look like fabric, ie the pants that are plastic-like right now... I don't know how to properly explain that.

Base is a problem, it's nicely executed, but composition-wise the subject is kind of lost in it, it could be this big and work, if there was some sense of direction in it ( Using elements to drag the eye toward the subject). As is it would need at least another subject to give some action to it, like a diorama.

Last thing, is it dullcoated ? It seems a little shiny to me but it can be from the lights used for the photo.
