Not been painting for a LONG time, so much in need of advice/tips.

Was planning to use metallic metals, following the GW \'eavy metal stylie, but I see NMM is much more popular here. Hmmm?

The warboss from the new Assault on Black Reach set. Chopped off the sprue. Considering there are only 5 pieces (have already glued back/banner & claw) I\'m suprised how much detail there is. Just need to drill out the barrels, before priming. Due to the long gun arm, pondering the idea of painting the 3 elements separately; think the gun arm will have to be separate if I\'m to get into the face properly.

Plan to post daily lol ... well, good to set out with the best of intentions eh?

Erm (shuffles nervously) not quite hitting my daily target then. Oh well, shading washes added...

Need to tidy up and then start highlighting.

Will be nice to see this getting its highlights up. For such small piece models the AoBR mini\'s are real sweet.

Finally got to laying down some broad highlights on the skin and trousers:

Looks like they need finessing; especially the trousers need smoothing out.
