With Dwarfey, I have Just basecoated his hair, but nothing worth photographing, gonna have to put him on the backburner for a while as I have started work on the empire General kit (which is a gorgeous bit of kit!)

Please \'scuse the photo\'s. I just got a brand new digital camera with makro all of my very own (no more scrounging of Ma & pa for me!) and still unfamiliar with the settings and such.

No time limit on this one, and probably around 10 hours ish so far. I am really pleased with the cloak and especially the face. With the runefang, I gave it a turquoise glaze, as I wanted it to look like a \'magical\' weapon. Just the horse to go now!

Any comments would be appreciated.
Cheers!

This is my guy on foot, all finished and all! I was really strict with this one and gave myself a 4 hour timeslot to finish him in. Very happy with the results for the time taken, but certainly not my finest work by a country mile. Although not visible in the photo\'s those are freehand italic golden \'K\' and \'F\' Painted on his thigh armour (the \'C\' is on his arse!
lol )

Looking very good! I like the feathers on old dudes head. The only thing is they look very glossy in the crevices like you ud=sed a lot of washes or GW inks... not bad looking just too glossy IMO... I do love how you are progressing so fast, your yourk keeps getting better! Mike

Cheers guys!:D

The gloss may be because I didn\'t wait for the dullcote to dry before photography!

For the cloak, I started with pure chaos black, then just kept adding small ammounts of scab red, working up to pure scab red. I then gave it a once over glaze with a very thin black wash, then a couple more washes in the creases, before picking out the very edges and highest points with scab red again.

Its the same method I used for Inquisitor Lok, but with him I did 2 additional highlights, one of 50/50 scab red and khaki, then a final pure khaki highlight.

This one just \'felt\' right at the scab red, so I left it at that.

The bad news is this peice is gonna have to be put on the backburner too, but the good news is I started my first commission today, yaay! A mordheim witch hunters warband. Will be sure to keep you posted on its progress (although I think its only fair I keep the client posted first!!)

sorry for the picture overload, but its been a while since updating! Bases were left plain at clients request.

Should have some more wip shots later tonight, including the finished empire general, slight progress on the AOW dwarf, Dark Angels commander and links to finished work for some competitions over at Wyrd.

Off to meet undave now for my first ever bloodbowl game!

As always nice minis, played a lot Mordheim myself these will look good in any street fight.
Just went through all of your WIP, can I just ask you how you did the stubbles and shaved hair on the warriorpriest, the very first mini in the thread. I\'ve tried to get that look my self (on the minis, thank you) but can\'t really get it to look convincing.
Looking forward to more pics later
