In may day you had a hifi, not a sterio. Records were actual records and a single was SMALLER than an LP. You had to keep your needle clean and don\'t touch the record on anything but the edges. If it warped you just played it anyway because $3.00 was too much to pay for another.

Then 8 track came along and spoiled the world completely.

My old boss gave me an 8 track player with some The Who cassettes when he was clearing his house out.
What was wierd is that you pressed play, but it just started wherever it wanted, im glad things arn\'t like they used to be.

Before Fran & I got married we used to be able go to the Sunrise Chinese Restaurant in Newcastle for a 3 course meal then to the Cinema for the latest blockbuster and have change out of a Fiver (£5.00) I shit you not!
Mind you my weekly wage was £17.50 then. (1974)

Okay as noted not near coffin dodging but I figure I have a few to add, that fits this site:

In my early days Miniatures were made of Lead, came in a velum baggie stapled together with some cardboard that said Ral Partha or RAFM on it. There were 3-6 minis in the bag, and the price was around $1.50 Canadian.

In my early days if you were a gamer you roleplayed, usually Dungeons and Dragons, unless you were weird, then you played Gama World.

In my early days Pac Man was God and Q-Bert was trying to Usurp the throne.

In my later days you didn\'t own a PC you had an IBM or a Clone, unless you were weird then you had an Apple.

Everybody should post photo\'s of when they were kids.
I used to wear a God Awful jumper, and at one point had a bright green jacket with a speedboat on the back which I would never take off lol

I don\'t have any photos myself. My parents are in the process of digitalising all their old photos though, so sooner or later I will be able to get digital copies of all their photos.

Our phones had rotary dials on them....

I took forever to dial a long distance number!!

I can remember getting our first microwave oven....we even learned how to make our own microwave popcorn with a brown paper sack and some oil!
