Now a real punishment for this teacher would be to poke him with the soft cushions, or perhaps bring out... the COMFY CHAIR!!!

Took the words right out of my mouth!!

I think it says a lot about the \"intelligence\" of the kid who thought it was wizardry. What next, burn all D&D players at the stake because we \"summon demons\"?

Bring forth the Chick Tract!.
*blink* That was actually rather disturbing, but probably not in the way they hoped (to me, anyway). Do people really believe that?

I thought it was some kind of spoof/joke until I got about half-way down.

Sadly it\'s not a joke, Jack Chick has been promulgating a very blinkered narrow minded form of bigotry as \"True Faith\".

I\'m so glad I know far better Christians than him.

Vikey makes very good points here. My wife\'s family is composed almost entirely of teachers at all levels. They are the whiniest, unhappiest bunch of pansies I know. If this clown could have pretended to be serious for a little longer he would have certainly gotten a permanent position, after which he could only be fired by screwing a student or murdering someone in front of witnesses. It is very difficult to fire a govt. school indoctrinator in this country.
And free time! They always bitch about not getting paid enough, but they only work 9-10 months out of the year. Yeah, I know all the teachers on here are gonna tell me they come in over the summer and do \"work\" or \"prepare\" lessons. Do a little experiment and visit your local public school durnig the summer, see what kind of \"work\" goes on there. For the number of hours they work a year, they get paid more than fire-fighters and policemen. If they were smart they would realize they are in a govt. protected racket, under the wealthiest and most powerful lobby group in Washington (I\'m not making this up). They should be smart enough to know they\'ve got it pretty good and should shut their yaps.

 What is truly scary, is there “ARE” real people out there who in the name of their deity would burn all us gaming geeks at the stake and scatter our ashes with salt in some pit.

I hope this was tongue-in-cheek. ???

Not all who call themselves Christians reflect Christ. At times I have to agree with a bumper sticker I saw - \"God, save me from your followers!\"

Meh. Labels matter not. No matter who you claim to emulate, you unfortunately still have the free choice of being a douche.

In school most all of my subs were babysitters. Having a performer lead the class for once rather than a guy reading a book with his feet up on the desk? That would be awesome.

It\'s not.
It\'s accurate.
I\'ve faced down someone who took that attitude towards me at work.
And in the UK the kind of blinkered bigoted hate filled Ultra Fanatical Christianity I faced, is rarer than appears in the US.
