Ok - so after the wood elf fiasco, I got some of my half-finished stuff down and started working on it. I always like to have multiple things working, so as I wait for something to dry, I can work on something else and keep a rotation going.

Here are Galadriel and Celeborn. Galadriel was actually finished before I put down the paint brush two years ago. Celeborn was almost complete but I\'ve redone his face now about a billion times. No matter what I do he ends up looking like an old man. That\'s why I put him down two years ago and he still looks terrible. lol

The mirror was just primered, so I worked on it the past two days - nice and simple, so it\'s not bad - not great but not bad.

The next one - the Warg Chieftain, I put down two years ago because I was just getting irritated with it. He was just a basic black/gray/brown fur - and looked awful.

So, I ended up working a bit on this too - he is far from finished but I wanted to see what you all thought of him.

My goal is to get a genuine depth in his coat. I want it to look thick and gnarly. A bit of color, yes, but I also want this matted blood look on his coat. Not fresh, bright red, dripping blood but the nasty mixed with dirt and fur blood.

Thanks to the camera I spotted some goofs that I have to fix (big white blobs) and yeah, his head is awful! (Any suggestions for his head and face are also appreciated.) But I wanted to see what you thought of the fur.

Looking good! I have three suggestions. Prep your minis a bit better, try smoothing out the surfaces. With lotr minis esepcially every flaw will be visible as the minis are so small. Secondly I suggest you use a bit thinner paint and more layers. The third and final suggestion would be to wo0rk a bit more on your bases to have them compliment the miniature a bit more. Overall nice though and I think they probably look better afk as well.

Thanks Avelorn! Yes, you\'re absolutely right. I have been getting sloppy with my prep work. Too impatient to get painting I guess. :D

I was wondering about the thinning - I thought I had my mixes right but I\'ll try thinning more.

I used to go all out on the bases, I\'ve still got a ton of stuff for them, so I\'ll see what I can do.

Thank you so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it.

Cheers,
Kat
