OTT Lite desk work lamp - Good price!

Hi guys, I haven't been on here in a while....

I was just in Costco and they are selling this http://www.ottlite.co.uk/p-285-tulip-desk-light-silver-new.aspx for £15.00 each, which I think is a cracking price. I bought one of course! It's actually really good. I immediately thought of you guys on CMON :D

Unfortunately, Costco is a membership only outlet, so you'd need to know someone with a membership to buy one, but probably worth the effort.

It's bright enough for what I need it for!

I don't know if it's bright enough for mini painting - I don't see why not. It equates to about 60-70W I think and you gan get quite close to your work I would imagine. You could always replace the bulb.

I'm painting daily - 2D these days... canvas, board, third person statements,, posh gallery and arty bollocks.... Glad to say it's going better than expected too

Still love minis but alas no time! However, I went to GW's Warhammer World recently for my son's b'day... it got my juices flowing. Still got plenty of unpainted minis too ;)

I got an OTT light, but it's just too dim for me to paint with alone. But maybe I got a bum bulb!

Great to see you here, would love to see you paint useless things instead of all that pompous 'real art' stuff....LOL.

I always find OTT lamps to be overpriced for what they are, still, that's a pretty good price for one at Costco.

I prefer to get just the bulbs and use them in an Ikea Tertial lamp. The OTT bulbs are great, it's like sitting in nice clear sunny light without any harshness you get with regular bulbs.
