Ought to sell promo survivors from CMON for a reasonable price

I've heard a couple of fellow players say this:
CMON ought to sell past promo survivors/zombivors on their site, once they are no longer involved in any special events.
i say this to eliminate those who sell them at ridiculous prices on EBay. Some are reasonable, while others are just simply outrageous.
I believe this is an excellent way for CMON to make extra money, besides what they normally sell.
though I'm guilty of purchasing promo survivors on EBay, there's pretty much no other option especially if you just got into it this late, such as myself.
Some of us don't have the ability to download the map editor app in order to enter these contest.
i don't know if anyone agrees with me, or not, but I wouldn't mind hearing some comments about the subject

1 for this: yeah why not, it lets new players get the old figures too to make their collection complete

1 against: totally kills the exclusive nature of them, so less incentive for people to throw money at CMON-KS-s.

Paid through the nose for a few, but no....They were exclusive to kickstarter and the agreement was that they would not be reprinted once the stock was depleated through KS and cons. People jumped on Kickstarter 4 times now for special figs (3 seasons and black plague Z-Cide) You want them, support Kickstarter like everyone else has. If they reprint then they lose the whole reason for Kick starters. They also go against their word with previous backers and risk killing the golden goose. For the record BP is the only KS I have gotten on but I still agree with not reprinting for my own reasons. First MY exclusives from BP will be devalued, and second the bunch I have paid E-bay prices for would be devalued cheating me in a sense.

You want them, do what the rest of us have had to do, Pay up or get on KS.

Concentrating getting some of the rare promo survivors from Zombicide from someone I met on Facebook from UK. He's getting rid of some of his stuff. He's got Troy, Smith, Eva, Marvin and Dave, which I know four of those are pretty hard to find. Gradually trying to get all, or as many as I can, of the Zombicide promo survivors. Hopefully get the latest one as well.

I was fortunate enough to get onto this from the beginning and I have supported every zombicide kickstarter on the way through. the only survivor I don't have was the one from the conventions (flame thrower lucy liu type) i never bought them to make money from, but i like the thought of their exclusive and valuable nature and more importantly i respect cmon for not capitulating and re-releasing them as i would be a bit pissed. games workshop did the same thing with space hulk and added another reason for the dissenters to gripe (including myself, but it is an abusive relationship and i keep taking them back)

Out of curiosity, are you upset that they're releasing the the S1 promos as Ultimate Survivors? S1 is the only one I've missed, so I'm excited about finally having them

They also have different rules that help them stay relevant with the added abilities and power creep of the newer seasons. They are also exclusives as they will not be offered again, so I am A-OK with the ultimate survivors.

However I and many think exclusives should remain exclusive. The exclusives are the ONLY reason I back CMON games on kickstarter, and the ONLY reason I back pretty much every one I am even remotely interested in (as it can be expensive and hard to complete a collection later - I am a collector and completionist). Exclusives make the world go round... exclusive cards are why people go to their flgs to play MTG, they are why people play in FFG LCG tournaments, they are why people to go GENCON and other CONS. The only, ONLY reason people hate exclusives is because not everyone can have them, and most of the time the folks that complain missed the boat. This is not a good reason to forego excusives and leads to less cash flow for businesses.

A good example of why exclusives offer incentive is as follows: I was going to back Super Dungeon Explore Legends, and Super Dungeon Explore Forgotton King, but pulled my pledge on both as nothing is exclusive. I purchased all the forgotton king stuff since the kickstarter on ebay or discount retailer websites for near the same price they had for the kickstarter. Why would I pony up cash over a year in advance when I can just buy retail products later (esp. when you are not guaranteed anything -look at kickstarter's policy if the company doesn't deliver).

Risk is rewarded with exclusives... and we collectors love exclusives, which is why we love CMON miniature games.

That can go both ways. If I didn't hear about the KS and they *did* have exclusives, when I find out about it later, why should I pony up cash for half the game someone else got? Exclusives help KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGNS, not necessarily the game and/or company.

you could ask the same for every miniature game in existense. Even if the components are not limited, sooner or later they'll be oop. So if someone discovers the game later they are in the exact same position.

The funny thing is that this all matters ONLY if you are a collector. For the game itself the extras are not important at all.

The extras not being important depend on the game. I was speaking about KS exclusives in general, not specifically for CMON games.

not at all, the characters models are different and a reflection of them being the longest surviving fish in the pond. which I think is kinda cool
