Our first OOAK

This is our first ooak fashion doll, while not really a mini, Gelflin and I were inspired to try our hand at this after seeing some darn cool ones online.

Originally a Barbie Kayla doll, she under went a gruelling face stripping and repaint, her butterfly pattern clothes were promptly binned in favor of my first hand sewn dress.

My wonderful Gelflin made all the jewelled accessories (Thanks!!!)

What do you folks think?

Nice job. I\'m not fond of the gothy lip stick, but the painting is well done. I did a bust once nearly that size and it was a real pain blending. How did you get the skin so smooth?
The dress is great. Doll clothes are supposedly much harder to make than people clothes so bravo.

Looks nice, but just wait...........it\'s an illness almost as bad as the minis. lol

I love the lips, beautiful, and the eyes look good too. You ought to try re-rooting, it\'s actually kind of fun to have almost total control over the final outcome.

I\'ll have to see if I can dig up any of the pics of my past frankensteins.

uh oh, Don\'t tell them about the re-rooting or they\'ll never break free. I\'ve got an OOAK barbie mermaid on the go at the moment. Sculpting each scale on her tail individually from GS, yes I am a sucker for punishment. She\'s getting a reroot in sea greens and blues.

Some neat things can be done with ears too if you are inclined to sculpt new ones and match up paint
