Out Of Print Minis

I dunno... most of the older miniatures I\'ve submitted to CMON have pretty poor scores compared to the rest of my stuff. Can\'t be that en vogue. <giggles... but in a manly sort of way>

Virtual Alchemist has been around for awhile. They\'re associated with the Stuff of Legends site, which has some great listings for identifying the older figures (especially Citadel stuff).

The prices at Virtual Alchemist are also a little on the high side IMO. I think you can find better deals by trading or searching eBay.

For gaunts, you can check eBay, too -- they don\'t go for as much as the even older stuff, I don\'t think. They\'re not all that rare.

I noticed lots of older GW minis are still available on their site... I may have to put in an order some time. GW\'s older stuff has so much personality, especially the Chaos warriors. Also you can get some re-releases of old Grenadier minis from that company that bought the rights and molds a while ago (name?)

I\'ve seen those quite a few times, actually (though not commonly in the blister). Couple of weeks ago, there were several groups of them up. Have you tried searching on \"tyranid\" and then wading through everything that comes up? It\'s not the most efficient method of searching, but most people fail to name their auctions properly.

Hopefully direct links to eBay auctions aren\'t prohibited here, but are these what you\'re looking for?

This one or this one from the same guy or even this one?

And failing that, there is the archive service as NSA said located here.

Hope that helps. :)

i just saw 3 days ago an army with 80 termaguants on eBay.

and just bought another 32 for myself. i got them in lots for $5 USD per 8.

so $20 for a full 32 termagaunt unit.
beats paying $30 for 16 plastic ones. specially since these are easier to hide from LOS behind rubble til they jump out and maul you.
lol

and werent they called hunter slayers in the metal form?

Awh f***!!

Alll this time, all this bloody time, the two and a half frickin years I\'ve been in this hobby, I though \"OOP\" was an old company, or offshoot of GW. It wasn\'t until today that in a flash of brilliance I realized it meant \"Out Of Production\"

Crud. I\'m dense sometimes. :( Well, no, not just sometimes. Seems I\'ve been like that for two and a half years....How did I not notice?

EDIT: *waits for the inevitable \"Because you were too busy licking your balls\" remarks*

well consider there rarity the same as any GW blister. cause gaunts have a max unit size of 32 they would have HAD to produce large quantites of them in 1987 when they came out to fill the units of those people min/maxing.
