@RedDawn: You do like symmetry, don\'t you? If you spike yourself with an Exacto in one finger, will you, in sympathy, drive it through its opposing mate? Silly girl... silly girl.

lol Michelle! They\'re quite the little parasitical things, aren\'t they? I am, and, with all hopes, wishes and dreams, will remain a paedophobe.

Something like that happened to me too! Only, in my case, the doctors removed a small alien creature. But instead of taking it to a top secret lab for future study, they gift-wrapped it and made me take it home. Apparently, I\'m supposed to prepare this creature for release into the wild in approximately 18 years. It\'s been three years already since this occurence and the creature has grown larger and its only discernable abilities are to comsume vast amounts of food and process it into toxic waste, and to scatter small colorful objects around the floors of the house, strategically arranged to always be underfoot. It has also begun to engage in mimicry, though of all the words it has memorized, it\'s favorite phrases seem to be \"No!\", \"Mine!\", and \"Can\'t catch me!\". I can only speculate at what bizarre changes will occur in the next 15 years....:wow:

Were you awake during the operation too? I was told that the number of people awake was quite high, somewhere in the range of 60%.
Of course I am part of the lucky less-than-one-percent who actually remember it. Very painful.

Well, I was awake, but I don\'t think I was very aware... I had already been through 19 hours of labor by that time (14 hours of it unmedicated) and had gone the whole time with only water but no food. So by the time the descision to do a c-section was made, I was already very tired and drugged up. I didn\'t see what they did due to the little \"curtain\" put up over my middle. I was told I babbled a lot.:)

Painful? Yep, after 14 hours I couldn\'t take the pain anymore and had an epidural. I highly recommend them. They are wonderful.:D

owies, hey?? well, lets start with the involuntary ones (only the bad ones...i\'ve had plenty that drew b;ad but healed up within a few weeks and left very little scarring)

when i was 2, i had my grandmother accidentally go over my left hand with an iron...3rd degree burns acorss the back of all my fingers. i still have the scars, and no sensation through that area

about 5 years ago now, i managed to lodge a nail backwards through my hand (fell of a dodgily made jetty...i dunno how the nail got there tho). the head (which has the bit stuck in my hand) was almost a centimetre across, and some bastard tried to pull it out with a pair of pliers...it didn\'t actually hurt up to that point...

about 3 years ago, i dropped a heavy glass bowl on my foot. it severed the tendon to my big toe fairly neatly. fortunately when i went to the hospital, i had my mother (a vet) with me to tell the doctor that it was severed...cos they couldn\'t find the damn thing. thanks to her, i can walk without a limp

and most recently, i\'ve discovered i have gall stones. the first indicator was me being in so much pain i couldn\'t stand, and hurling abuse at the world in general. the second was the ultrasound which said i have 2 of \'em, both an inch across. so in a few months, i\'ll have surgery to get rid of the whole damn thing (whoo, nineteen and going to get my gall bladder out!!)

as for the optional stuff...one tattoo, and off to get another in a few days :D. love tats. pity i can\'t afford more

Iv had a bike handle bar go through my leg! Needed 8 stiches, bout 3inch long and 1inch wide, cant photo it though cos its too near my nether regions! And that would be deemed unsuitable for all the young uns\' running around! lol

I was going really slow on a mates bmx and the front wheel went into a drain grid then twisted and i shot forward, he had cut his bars down but hadnt filed them, so it went straight through my leg!

I\'ve got a lot of scars, but I\'ve never had stitches :s

Worst one in my opinion was when I was going round a corner on my bike and hit some gravel, slid over and smacked the back of my hand. It ripped a chunk of flesh out, it was lying on the road, disgusting.

I used to get liver infections sometimes...now they really hurt, lots of morphine needed. the worst one completely eclisped all of those when bile leaked from somewhere to som,ewhere...not sure but it REALLT hurt. That needed about 30mg of Diamorphine (which is a lot of hardcore stuff).

Iv\'e also had to have a tube ripped out of my body after an op. It wasn\'t supposed to stick, but I heal fast apparently and kinda healed in and around this tube!
They had to knock me senseless with gas and air...the stuff womwn giving birth get to tear it out. And needless to say, it STILL hurt like a bitch.
Theres more but I think thats enough.

\"That hurt...lets do it again\", LP I like your attitude lol
And Fizl\'s bb rings nice :]
An ex of mine used to have a bb ring, I loved playing with it lol It was so sparkly

Nope. Nothing
I had stitches in my head after falling of a slide when I was two.
You can\'t see it because of all my hair, although it is there because I can feel a dent in the back of my head.
Is dent a suitable word?

I cut myself with an x-acto knife. I was pushing down hard on a straight-bladed knife through a Space Marine and my hand slipped down and through the blade. Luckily, it was through the side and I only need five stiches. Though there was enough blood to fill a whole coffee cup!

Owwies huh... i got a tattoo and two ear peircings, no biggie, lame i know. Perhaps i should mention the mutilated right foot i have. A runnign lawnmower and a human foot is not a happy combonation. It\'s caused my big toe to be no bigger then my thumb, i can\'t mve it so it just hangs there all limp like and i can only more the other four toes at the same time and then with almost no rate of motion. It\'s caused my leg to be 4 inchs shorter then my left leg, gives out time to time so i can\'t walk without a can, the foot it tilted as the bones were damaged bad enoguh they grew at difefrnat rates and over all looks like a hungery badger chewed on the thing. That would be my biggest Owwie. :D
