Yes, there\'s a crew from the US coming over to Victoria to lend a hand. Scheduled to land on Sun or something, according to the news.

They\'ve apprehended one arsonist for a fire that is confirmed to have killed 10 (though the toll from that fire is ecpected to hit 20). There has been no growth in the overall toll for several days. I suspect they\'ve stopped raising the count due to the depressing effect the daily rises have in general. I expect there will be an announcement over the coming weeks updating the toll in a single hit. I know a lot of police are currently going through the wreckage and they are still finding bodies.

What really cuts deep is that three more fires were deliberately lit in bushland around the suburbs in the last week. No injury property damage occurred, but I suspect if these individuals are caught they will find out exactly how miserable their lives can be. There are people in the prison system who lost loved ones in these fires.

I guess there is no way to ever understand why some sick SOB would light the fires. It\'s beyond my comprehension. Truly tragic.

I\'ll be giving to the Red Cross in the name of this, unless anyone knows of a better charity....
