OK, so, this isnt a "Im nearly there and need some pointers" thread, this is a "ive painted a few minis, and would like to know what to do!" thread....

So, here are a few pics... if anyone has some advice on where im going wrong (or right!) at each stage, please feel free to let comment. im not the best photographer either......

Now, thats the first base. I dont really understand the skimed milk consistency. i think its about 50:50. Im going for a purle and black colour scheme. I've also based anythign metal in black, as im going to try some NMM

2nd base coat. Its getting a bit messy, so i need to clean up the edges i think. ive seen some vids where people leave it pretty messy until all the base is down, before cleaning up... Any recommendations? Im also a bit worried about the black, because i think its going to be too, well, black. i want to be quite natural, and true black probably isnt the best option, but i dont know what to do.

The pics are showing up as attachments. Oddball forum behavior on my tablet. Regardless, the painting feedback you requested: you look to be headed in the right direction. It looks like you are using thinned paint, but the primer is still showing through, like you didn't go all the way to a smooth coat with your base coats. Are you aiming for fully purple/pink? it appears that the skin was done to completion, but the black and pink were not.

Yeah, I think the flesh was a bit thicker than the other colours, so covered more. I've gone over the black and purple again...I'll post another PIC once im a bit happier with the tidiness.... Thanks for the feedback
