Well I\'ve finally managed to finish up the Ogre Bull I was sent for Paint Aid. It was a lot more fun than I anticipated and I found that I honestly like these miniatures and plan on doing more in the near future (with some GS work this time about).

In particular, I\'m happy with the way the pants came out on this one and the metalic paint is the first time I\'ve used it since I got back into this hobby. Quite happy with it overall.

Big thanks to Astonia for her helpful paint guide (which I got too late for most of my miniature but came in handy all the same) as well as her helpful e-mail.

Probably that I\'ll be flayed and flogged when it comes down to it. My ogre looked like everyone elses for a time, then I started painting the highlights at 3am and things got a bit .. out of hand with the magic wash and the paint (grr).

Sadly, like all my picutres, it is a bit washed out due to the lights that I use, so it is a tad darker (more grey-brown than you see in the picture) which I think will fit in after seeing a few others WIP shots that have skin close to mine.

Ah well, live and learn.

As for comments I\'ve received on it to date. Yes, I forgot to GS the darn shoulders as I noted in another thread and I debated dipping the bastard in general and redoing it. Rather peeved with myself for passing that up.

Pants could be a bit bright I suppose but dangit - I like \'em (hehe).

And the warpaint I just did to try something different but I don\'t like the blue in general.

Have to say though that I like the miniatures overall and I\'ve got a project I\'m about to start with some of these buggers so this was a good experience for me and I hope that they turn out better the next time about.

That being said, I hope the person that ends up with these enjoys them - I got a feeling this is going to be a rather diverse army (which I think is going to be a blast).

Oh, cool! The skin is very smooth, and the warpaint on his face is cool. I also think the pants are perfect the way they are! Great job, Nathan!

Good stuff FF!

I think the variations in skin tones will only add to the look of the army, so I can\'t see that it will be a problem at all.

The warpaint is well done.

One small comment...I think you should also put a small USA by your initials...
