Paint or wash for glazing?

Shoud I use just watered down chaos black or should I use the badak black wash from citadel for glazing?

i like the wash, it\'s transparent and has a nice texture to it. but if i were you, i would try both, see what you prefer

I have not tried the new washes, so ill have to say Chaos black hehe..

They give different results, tried both and can\'t really decide which one I like better But sometimes you want it a little bit more opaque in spots so then chaos black works better. Another option you can try is to dilute the chaos black paint with badab black.

Glazing the armour of black templars after the edges have been highlighted by codex grey then forttress grey. That\'s what\'s being glazed ;-)

Both really give different results. I find that even though the new washes aren\'t as bad as the old GW inks, they can still leave a glossy finish if you aren\'t careful and apply enough coats. Paints on the other hand tend to dry matte but won\'t cover as well as the washes will.

The wash is alot easier and faster. It just depends on what you are working on. If it is a tabletop mini go with the wash as it will save you lots of time. If it is a display mini I would go with the paint.

I agree with aliengod3 completely! although I find watering down the glaze great for shading on a display piece too.. I say play with them both.
