Paint scheme for pale ivory-like armour like Joaquin Phoenix has at Gladiators finale.

Hi, I\'m crap at painting but only use my figs for gaming so not too fussed, I\'m wondering how to do a set of armour in a very pale bleached out ivory look. Any guides anywhere. I use Games Workshop paints.

Thank You.:innocent:

And its for a chaos warrior type thing.

Cheers.:drunk:

Mix Bleached Bone with Skull White (40-60 ratio) as primary basecoat and add washes of thinned Bleached Bone into the shadow areas.
Darkline with Thinned Snakebite & Bleached bone.
Highlight with Skull White.

I would use the same colours as DR mentions, but I\'d work up from Snakebite

(Base Snakebite, up to bleached, highlight white)

But that\'s just the way I do things :)

If the final results are to be pure white it seems to be quite a detour to start with Snakebite. Wouldn\'t it be much easier to just glaze the deepest areas with very thin Snakebite?

Oh yeah, for PURE PURE white yeah, but I read it as being very pale washed out ivory...

In which case I\'d just start WITH bleached bone.

If you just want a quick scheme to get it on the table then udercoat white then wash with very thin flesh wash. Do enough washes till you get the color you want. Thinned snakebite is close to flesh wash as well.

another way to give the ivory type colour is to basecoat with a mix of around 70% white with 30% Graveyard earth (approx mix) then highlight with white. The Graveyard earth has a very pleasing ivory type look ...
