Painted Minis in Catalogues, Yay or Nay?

I like to see them painted but I also like to see the green. For some reason I prefer greens to metals when browsing for minis. Does that make me strange Oh well welcome to Seemon.

Nope, that makes perfect sence, since you can see more in a photo of a green than in a photo of a metal figure because of it\'s shinyness.

i prefer painted but next to bare components. i hate not knowing what the components are so it\'s nigh on impossible to get bits for conversions

Yup, to continue what you two said, I like to see a painted image, but the unpainted components just give me so much more inspiration than seeing what someone else has done.

I agree with most people here - I too like to see the models painted as it gives a clearer impression.

However, a badly painted mini can put me right off and unfortunately there are plenty of those in some catalogues. The frustrating thing is, I will avoid mini if it\'s got a horrible paint-job and then when I see it in the flesh (unpainted) I tend to buy it as I\'ve realised its a really nice figure!

So.....the moral of this verdict is: Yup, you definitely need your cake so you can eat it too..... Painted and unpainted please
