Painters near Atlanta Ga

Some of you guys may have seen this posting on some other forums---but I\'m tryin\' to hit all of \'em where I have friends that may want to join me.

Anyway,
Hobby Town USA in Kennesaw has asked that I come in on the 4th Saturday of every month to give a few hours of \"painting lessons\" to some of their interested customers.
The first session starts November 26, 2005, and I\'m planning to start at 11:00am and finish about 3 or so----or, if we decided to keep painting, that\'s a possibility too.

If you\'re local (or not) and want to join in on the painting, feel free----if you just want to come by for a cup of coffee or to shoot the shit---that\'s fine too.

If you\'re interested and have a particular topic you want to discuss, just let me know via reply/email/etc, and I\'ll be sure and prepare myself ahead of time.

Regardless, it\'s a really informal and relaxed painting session that I hope turns into a collaborative group where we can all improve our talents a bit.

And if we paint long enough---there\'s a nice little sports bar right down the way....

Kev, I saw your post yesterday on Reaper\'s forum. Sent U2U\'s to all the CMONers I know that live in the Atlanta area (DarthFoley, Grumb & FF - sorry if I left anyone out, but that was the ones I know.)


p.s. I still think you ought to join the BL and get \'paid\' for teaching. I\'ve had a lot of fun with it for the last almost 2 years - and it keeps me in paint.

DarthFoley and I are RL friends (did I say that shit outloud?), and I know he\'s aware of it. Maybe reaching out to the others will prove to be worthwhile for everyone.
I gotta get all these folks together, so I can learn how to paint!

I\'m still torn on the BL thing----as it kinda limits me on what figures I can paint. I\'m still considering it though....8)

Sorry for the late reply Rodnik. We\'ve all been sick around here for the past couple of weeks. Grumb and I (and the kids) are driving back to town on the 26th so we won\'t make it, but hopefully we\'ll see you in Jan. (The 4th Sat. in Dec. is Christmas Eve and we\'ll either have family in town or be out-of-town again.) Maybe we can get together some other Sat.? (Maybe we\'ll even talk Frustrated Father into a meeting as well!)

Your kids can always learn and you need to get rid of that parakeet anyway since your kids are scared of it anyway! lol

Prolly won\'t be up until January though. =/ Maybe the end of this month, but not looking too promising, and next month being Christmas weekend...well...

RL = Real Life


BL = Black Lightning, it\'s Reaper\'s demo team, basically, you get points from Reaper for doing things like teaching people how to play their games and paint thier minis.

Thanks for the replies and stuff guys and gals.

Anyway, with this being a \"new thing\", I\'m not sure what the ultimate schedule will be---and I\'m sure it\'s \"flexible\".
Regardless, I don\'t mind hitting other hobby stores and stuff to paint a bit----the Kennesaw/Hobby town thing is just gonna be my regular gig.
Any of you are welcome to email me if you want me to drop by a hobby store you frequent (WarRoom or otherwise).
I\'m all over Atlanta---working in Norcross and living in Cartersville----so I drive by just about everything at one point or the other....


@Dwight---as far as the 4th Saturday falling on Christmas Eve----I suspect I won\'t make it either...8)...so we may change the schedule a bit, we\'ll see. Regardless, I\'ll be back in full swing in January. I\'ll drop you an email about it.
