Painting a beastman..

OK, I\'m painting a beastman. His skin is brown-grey, the fur is blackish, what colour should I paint his cloth? I was thinking yellowish, any ideas?

Depends on the tonality of your brown. If it\'s a rich, warm brown, then reddish tones would suit it quite well (not red, it\'s too bright to go with brow and grey).
If it\'s a cold brown, then go for greenish/yellowish/maybe even bluish tones.

Snakebite to bone. The paint a few symbols out of the beastman book. You could do a red border to make them stand out a bit more.

It\'s been a while, and maybe IG don\'t use them anymore, but I know Imperial forces once included Beastmen (along with the ratlings, Ogryns etc)

But, I\'m guessing your beastman is a Warhammer chaos beast?

In which case, have the cloth in the colour of his allegiance; Khorne, Nurgle, etc

But make sure it contrasts with the fur/skin by making it bright or dark accordingly :)

Actually Beastmen are usually un-aligned, but most people tend to lean them towards a god of some sort.

Their Shamanic ways seperate them from the Sorceres ways of the other gods (except Khorne who has no magic of course)

I will agree on one thing, if your skin is bright, keep the loin cloth dark, if the skin is dark (and the fur is too!) Make the loin cloth bright.

Try finding an original colour to pour on them :) Nothing is forbidden :D
