Painting a certain tone of skin

Hi,

Recently I saw Aliengod\'s wonderful Vostroyan Standard,

and I tried to replicate that tone of skin, but I feel like my attemps are too brown.

I first attempted with a base of vermin brown, going up to dwarf flesh, then elf flesh , then white, but was disspointed.

Now I\'m wondering if anyone can tell me how to achieve this certain flesh tone?

Have you tried Pming the artist?

I\'d have probably done dwarf flesh as my base, and built up the layers. I don\'t think i would go to pure white as my highlights, as elf flesh is pretty pale anyway, but maybe add some ivory to the top colour to keep it a bit warm.

Foundation paint, tallarn flesh looks like it could be a good base.

The skin tone seems to have a certain Red caste to it. You might want to think about starting from a Mix of Red Gore & Dwarf flesh and adding thinner layers of Dwarf flesh to the mix to get close to the skin tone.
