Painting an ork army for my sons

Wow, very nice. The mold lines on the boars are pretty pronounced, but the painting is great. If you don't have GS on hand for the joint you can put plastic glue on both halves, wait 5 sec, then press the two halves together with enough pressure that a little bead of plastic comes up. Hold like that for about 30 sec then when they are fully dry you can just carve off that little ridge of plastic with a sharp blade and the seam will be very close to invisible. Again, really nice painting and basing - your boys are lucky.

Yes your boys are lucky, having 2 myself, but still two small to enjoy it... I wish I will have the patience later on to paint for them a full army, actually I would need two armies, one each!
Solid skills for a table top job, +1 for the mold lines. It doesn't require much efforts compared to painting and increase the perceived quality tremendously, Zab advice works in most of the case, knowing that ABS glue dissolve the plastic, but be careful with fingerprints.

Thanks for the answers and advices. Yes, those boar heads didn't fit well ... :sarcastic: I got lazy, I will use liquid GS next time, I promise !

Good army quality.
If everything us to this standard then a full army will look coherent on the table top.
If anything I would suggest spending a little more effort on champions an leaders making them "Features" in the army, BUT best part in all this is you're doing it for your sons!
Kudos to a Dad putting the effort in for his kids!
