Painting at Christmas

I\'m taking the last two weeks of December off just to paint. I haven\'t produced anything of any consequence in months, and it\'s starting to get to me. I\'ve got a couple of pretty nice projects started---and they beckon for paint every time I walk past \'em....
not to mention, I\'ve got some newfound skills I want to try out....

So, my vacation will be used to sling some paint around....

Time for painting is about the same for me year-round (at night after my better half is sawing logs). Xmas holiday is often difficult since we usually travel, but this time family is coming into town so I may actually be able to paint more this year.

Rodnik- can\'t wait to see what you\'ve got planned!

I haven\'t painted in months. I completely 100% totally blame school. BUT! now that I\'m off for the next 3 weeks (and once christmas shopping is done) I should be able to paint!

YAY!

I\'ve had 2 projects I\'ve wanted to finish for years and I\'m going to finish em this month!:flip:

For University students such as myself, the Christmas season is usually preceded by about 2 weeks of final exams. The week before that is usually full of term papers and the likes.

It\'s hard to get into the true Christmas spirit (I mean the spiritual spirit of Christmas, not the \"I\'m gonna go to Wal-Mart\" spirit) until that insanity is dealt with.

This year I\'m done on the 18th or something, whatever Monday is :D Should be nice to relax for a few days, and by relax I mean frantically shop for presents. Hopefully I\'ll be able to spend a good amount of time painting in the time between finals and New Years. My goal is to have a few Tau units and a few eBay auctions done by then.

On the 29th I\'ll be in Hawaii with the most incredible woman on Earth. No offense to you married types, I\'m sure your wives are all very lovely ;) The eBay auctions are for a) charity and b) spending money on my trip... vacations aren\'t cheap when you\'re paying for the other person too :D

Well for me xmas is one time I do get to paint. Having all my family on the other side of the planet means I tend to spend it on my own, so plenty of time to eat and paint! :)

Total respect for you! I think it shows so much dedication and dilligence to paint miniatures full-time as a profession. I only wish I was as brave as you. If you\'re interested, I\'ll send you some CD\'s to paint to. Good music playing in the background really helps hey.

BTW, you\'re a really cool painter and you\'re getting better and better. Happy painting darkartminiatures and may your brushes stay sharp!
