Painting Board game figures

I am commenting on http://www.coolminiornot.com/284079 (Kracken) and all the Cycaldes & Defender of the Realm figures I had Middle Pillar Path Painting (http://www.middlepillarpathpainting.net/) paint.

Since having them paint these two games (you can see them all in their gallery) I have had non gamers play just beacuse of the figures! That has prompted me to realize more games should be painted (either pre-painted, by myself, or professionally).

What do others think? Any agreement, disagree, comments on MPP's work ....

Thanks

Well a lot of people here have painted "Heroquest" figures, which are technically from a board game! The question I would have is, are these pieces typically made of a plastic that accepts paint well and isn't too rubbery? For instance, the zombies from "Zombies!!!" are not really suitable for painting, as far as I can tell.

Your's look fantastic!

I've painted figures for lots of board games;...A Touch Of Evil, Last Night on Earth, etc. Some figures really lend themselves well to paint.

For instance, I am pretty sure I will be painting my figs from THE ADVENTURERS: TEMPLE OF CHAC....

Painted figures ALWAYS look better. Even my Tannhauser figs (prepaints) look halfway decent.
