Painting chainmail with NMM

Well I was wondering if anyone has tried painting chainmail using NMM techniques. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

i tried it once.. i used overbrushing instead of painting Hls on every ring

Yeah I did it-on my last WIP dwarf, and I know I\'ve overdone highlights. The best idea is to concentrate on the areas not on the every ring.I used black primer than white horizontal to know where highligths should be.

Yes, just paint the ridges as highlights just as if it were cloth instead of chainmail.
