Hi Guys,

Jeremie Bonamant Teboul is putting together some painting class in San Francisco Bay Area. Jeremie, aka Bragon, won over 40 golden deamons including 3 Slayer Swords, Best of Show for GenCon, and Best of Show for ReaperCon.
We have two painting classes:
Painting Class 1 (Beginner to Advance) – From Saturday, April 6th through Sunday, April 7th. Classes run for about 10-12 hours per day. Basically whole day Saturday/Sunday till my buddy, Bill, gets tired and kick us all out of his house

The class is divide it in four parts: preparation, technique, light and color
• Flash removal, filing, Miliput juice, bubble filling, pinning, gluing
• Wet palette, base and flat colors, dilution and color schemes
• Zenithal lighting theory and application, highlights and shading, blending, glaze, wash, inking, varnishing, paint pulling
• Color theory and application of enhanced highlights, focal point notions
• And of course the work specific to each miniature: flesh, skin, metals (NMM and TMP), gems, leather, jewels, freehand, faces and clothes

Painting Class 2 (Intermediate to Advance) – From Tuesday, April 9th - Thusday, April 11th
Classes run for about 4 hours in the evening.

The class is organize by the folowing
• Theory: Composition, dramatization, narration, color and lighting ambiance.
• Practice: Boulders, earth, trunks, natural and artificial vegetation, flocking, roots, herbs, mud, water, snow, ice, pigments, grease, powders, marble
Classes are limited to 10 student max, based on Jeremie’s request. He wants to have an intimate painting environment. Also, Jeremie will provide you with a CD copy of his own reference material that he collected.
The cost for Painting Class 1 is $110 and Painting Class 2 is $95. If you are going to both, the cost is $185. We have tried to keep the cost low…so this is not a money making venture for both of us. Keep in mind, Jeremie is flying from France!
The classes depend on the students’ level…no two classes are ever the same. Honestly, based on my own personal experience, you can watch as many painting DVD as you want, read as many article as you want but the quickest way to learn how to paint miniature is by hands on.
As an added bonus, Jeremie will be bringing those beautifully painted miniature for you to drool!!! And if he is nice enough, you get to peek at his work in progress for the next competition…. =-)
So email me if you are interested. Spot will be secured with a full deposit via paypal. Deposit is 100% refundable before March 18th. Thanks for reading.

Hi there !
I am Jérémie, and very happy being the teacher of theses classes §
I did some few years ago in USA and it was a very good experience.
If you follow the Figone’s website, I did a new DVD about the wetblending technique.
Ill talk about this extraordinary technique, and also of course traditional ones.
If you have any question, do not hesitate contact me using the contact form of my website, or add your email in the newsletter of www.jeremiebt.com
Hope meet you there, and thanks Jon for the organization ;)

LOL...Jeremie would love to travel to Shanghai China! He just got to find the time =-) I have to twist his arms to get him to come here...

Also, as the date approach, I want to see who else is traveling and willing to share the hotel cost, to cut travel cost.

héhé if you can reach 12 students, why not ;)

It will be hard to go, too much work here... But I would really love to. I have read and seen many of your work and I really appreciate it.

Here in China the hobby of painting fantasy/historical mini has just started, GW implemented their first shop in Shanghai. So for now they are really GW focused, but some people are selling more and more other minis like KD. There is already a base with Gundam and military vehicles, but it will take time to gather 12 people to make a class...

You sure you don't want extra Kungfu lessons in Shanghai? I will be pleased to show you Shanghai and local tradition, I am living here for almost 10 years... Then pay for some personal painting lessons before you go back to France ;)

Miniature for the class

OK, look like we will be painting a new miniature! Jeremie is in the process of scupting the mini...I think it's about 70% finish. We will post some pictures, starting with simple frame. Any guess what this is going to be?

Did the class fill up? Trying to finalize some plans and just wanted to make sure the class was a go. I painted miniatures back in the DnD days, when I was in high school (early 80's). Just got back into painting and really looking forward to the class. Later, Conrad

Hi Conrad,

Sorry, I didn't realized you post! I didn't get an email notification.

So just to clarify, I already bought Jeremie's plane ticket and it is non refundable! Only two things can prevent this class from taking place...Jeremie decided not to go in the airplane, or US government revoke Jeremie's visa.

I will send out some document for the class shortly...with a few weeks.

Jeremie is pulling his hair out sculpting the mini for the class, and creating his entry to crystal brush. So there is motivation for Jeremie to fly here :)
