Right the here we go.
A few words first.
I am in no way saying what I paint is the be all and end all of miniature painting.
What I will do is guide you through painting a figure using my own techniques. If you use the same figure then great,if you dont then hopefully I can help you with what you do have.
What I do not want is someone telling me Im doing it wrong.Wives and girlfriends are for that.Thats not becuase Im bigheaded, its becuase it will make things easier.I am always open to suggestion though as long as you remember my word is final.
The figure I am using is the concubine from Hasslefree.Heres a link to their webshop if anyone wants to buy her.
Hasslefree
Im not trying to sell for them or anything, just pointing in the mini\'s direction.
Like I say any figure with skin could be used.
So...on with the show.
Here is the figure cleaned and mounted on a piece of dowel for handling.I usually base them before painting but this one is going on a freehand base maybe so kept her seperate.
She is primed with GW skull white spray. All my white skin is based with white. If you have a figure primed black then put a white basecoat where you want the skin.Use thin paint and build up the colour with many layers until you get a smooth solid white basecoat.Very important.
I will leave it at that for now.
Just drop any questions here.Post images of your primed figures for direct feedback.
Wait for me to post the next step, never jump ahead of me please.Always follow my lead.
What do you think the step durations should be?
I think if I wait until Saturday to do the next step it gives plenty time.
Later
Mark.
