Painting Commission Help

Hi, i'm new to this forum and not sure if this is the correct place for such a post and i apologise if that's the case, but was curious if there is any people who provide a commission service who would be willing to paint and base 4 bloodletters of khorne including a flag bearer to a reasonably high standard above table top quality. I've already been in contact with several people offering to take the job but seemed to charge way above what i was hoping to spend on such a commision (prices ranging from £80-£600 excluding shipping and providing i supply the models) i would be very grateful to anyone out there who runs a painting commission service to contact me if you would be interested in taking on these bloodletters, or if anyone who can reccomend a commission service please let me know. well £80 is certainly very reasonable with your shipping and model costs on top of that for above tabletop quality. when complaining about paying something like £80, simply imagine the time it would take to paint the models and work out an hourly rate. Then ask yourself if you would be willing to work for a couple of quid an hour. Not sure who quoted £600, but for that I would expect competition winning quality from one of the best painters here with everything included. If you want cut price I would suggest you find someone who does not run a professional painting service, but does it for fun/love. You wont find a commission service offering budget rates - it's there job, they have to eat and they have to pay bills....

I understand what you mean :( but i was hoping to get those 4 bloodletters done and dusted for about £60~ excluding shipping, you think it's possible i could find a service which would do that or would i have to be extremely lucky?

Well 80£ is around $125 minus the cost of a box $30.00 even though you only want 4 of them. So that's $22 per model and $30 for standard bearer. I could do that, but then you still need to add shipping to the uk let's say $20 (I bet its more). And I have other commission work ahead of you so I won't get to it until mid December. My advice, find someone in the uk, check eBay, or ask the best painter at your local game shop if he would paint them for you for the price you think is fair. It's a good way to start a friendship with another player too.

Thankyou very much i appreciate the the advice :D i'll keep checking around to try and find someone in the UK with a commission service and see if i can get them done for aroudn that price, thanks again.

Or if anyone is avaliable for doing this commission work and happens to be in the UK or will do it for around £60 excluding shipping then drop me an email :)

That's too bad because I thought we were still discussing the matter. Oh well, I gotta get some painting done then. :p
