Painting Contest
Miniatures painting has a long and illustrious tradition. As Game 07 will feature several miniatures games, we though it would provide an excellent excuse to set up a painting contest.

We\'ll be looking for the best of the best in painted figures. A number of categories can be entered, and each is open to two age bands, under 18s , and 18 and over . We will also have an open age Master\'s category for those of you who think you really are the best in the world.

Painting Contest Categories

1. Standard Size (U18 & 18+)
A single, roughly human sized figure, in 20-30 mm scale. Also very large figures of smaller scales. Large figures in these scales (tanks, Warjacks, giants et al) should be placed in category 3.

2. Small Size (U18 & 18+)
A single figure or stand of figures in scales below 20mm. Large figures in this scale (e.g. Epic Titans) should be entered into category 1.

3. Large Scale (U18 & 18+)
A single figure of larger than 30mm scale. Also large figures of smaller scales. Can include tanks etc.

4. Diorama (U18 & 18+)
Does what it says on the tin. No larger than one foot in any dimension (imagine we are placing in a cubic box of side one foot). This should include at least two figures and some background terrain. Conversions are encouraged. Any scale can be used.

5. Masters (all ages)
Our top level competition. This category is completely open, though please keep in mind the practicality of your entry (so no 52mm scale Imperator Titans, or 1:1 models of Norwegian Ice-Breakers for example!) Conversions and scratch building are actively encouraged. Bases should show some modelling work. Display plinths are strongly encouraged. Convention staff are allowed to enter this category.

Painting Contest Terms & Conditions

Each contestant may enter each category only the once, although you can enter as many categories as you wish.
In cases where a figure’s category is unclear, the organisers’ decision will be final.

Entrants will be responsible for the transport of your figures to and from the event.

While we will take the utmost care of your figures, we cannot accept any responsibility for them while in our care.

The figures will need to be handed in for judging. This may clash with other events, so please do not enter figures you may wish to use in other games.

By entering you give us permission to use pictures of your models on our web site and other convention literature in the future.

Figures not collected by the end of the Game 07 Event, and not claimed within two calendar weeks, will be auctioned off on Ebay and the proceeds donated to charity.

Save for the Masters Category, staff of the convention, traders attending the convention, and companies running events at the convention may not enter the competition.

Why am I posting this gibberish here? Well, I\'m one of the judges and would like to see some entrants from the forum regulars:D
