Painting Convention Recommendations?

Hello all,

Being relatively new to the hobby of miniature painting, I'm not quite in the loop so far. So does anyone have specific recommendations for painting conventions in the Upper Midwest of the USA? I would be most appreciative to know if there are any within the Twin Cities area considering its the closest major city to my current location.

None that I can think of off hand. We do have a few good gaming conventions that may fill some of the void. I'll look at Fantasy Flight's website to see if they are running anything at their gaming center, see if you can get on the Source Comics and gaming mailing list, as they list or have a hand in quite a few 'geeky' thing around town. Spring Con, Fall Con, Con vergence (mostly comic books but..) Con of the North (gaming, not sure of the painting side of things but it may be there). The really big ones that I can think of are in Chicago.
