Painting faces

Hi

I\'m looking for a fast way using a base color, a wash and one or two highlight to paint a face. Does anybody know a way to do this? What colors to use?

White faces and afro amercian faces!

Whoa, way to open a question. Everyone does them a little different. My first reccomendation (This is for your Black Templar army, right?) is to look at soem figs in the gallery, find the look you want and PM the person.

My light skinned guys vary on the mood I\'m in, and an army is a great way to experiment a little on each guy. My quick way that I do my Dwarfs...

Base Coat foundation Tallarn flesh

Wash of Citadel Purple wash (Just started this, and I love it)

Paint Tallarn flesh again leaving the purple in the recesses

Highlight with whatever fleshy tone is nearest and lightest. A little variation I find makes the army look a little less \"cookie cutter\" but using the same first two steps often makes the army keep its cohesive look.

tallarn flesh as a base coat. then very thin light flesh colour to add layers. maybe then a flesh wash to darken it and draw it all together

All these are nic but a little to much, I\'m doing a big army and want a quick way to paint faces, like a basecoat, wash to shadow and some subtile highlights on the cheek, nose forehead and chin.

I use my method for painting armies. It\'s quick. 5 minutes actual painting time max. I like to think it LOOKS like I took 10 minutes each!

Also if this is for your black templars you don\'t have THAT many faces. I\'d stress taking your time, or even painting them with a basecoat and slowly picking them back up one at a time to make them look great.
