painting familiars

I tried to look for an animal friend thread, but I didn\'t find it...
Since I have a new familiar these days, I was wondering about others and their furry, scaly, feathery companions.
This is Fem:

My \"familiars\", Mango and Chutney:

(that really sucks, t_haye2, I\'m very thankful for the renters\' laws here which forbid \"no pets\" on leases)

My house is full of the familiars of my evil twin.

In our house we have 4 cats and 1 dog. We had five cats but there was a tragedy.

My cat, Caesar, is fat. He is so overweight I can\'t even explain. The other animals belong to my wife, who must subconsiously be trying to kill me.

Then there is Ophelia, who has bad breath and major attitude. She also loves to knock over my minis.

Sammy (whom we did not name) has ended the life of two Bretonnian Knights and chewed the tips off of many spear. He cannot get to the minis because he is not that clever, but Ophelia likes to get him into trouble, so she will knock them down and he will kill. With Sammy it\'s instinct. With Ophelia it is depraved indifference and cunning.

Hamlet is psychotic. He is on antidepressants.

Tony was the greatest cat to ever walk the planet.

Romeo is our miniature Dachshund. Actually, he is my wifes. I yelled at him last night because he pooped in the floor. So he peed on my side of the bed.

My familiar is Tyler, a LARGE, old cat of mixed origins. Her coloration is definately Russian Blue but her body type is, uh... Siberian Tiger/HIppo, I believe. :D

She adopted me many years ago while I was still in Texas. She never bothers my minis mainly because she\'s too lazy and probably couldn\'t jump high enough anymore to get to them. ;) She\'s not affectionate in the let-me-sleep-in-your-lap or pick-me-up way. In fact she hates either thing. But she does sleep curled up next to me. She\'s loud, annoying, demanding and a general pain in the butt but I\'d miss her terribly if anything happened to her :)

As I have no means of posting pictures of my minis, I also have no way of posting a picture of her. :(

OK FInn, where\'s your picture of everyone\'s favorite sock puppet from hell?lollol

We have 2 cats: Lil\' Bug and Sneaker.

Both from the same litter, but Lil\' Bug has gotten HUGE, while Sneaker remains about half his size.

He (LB) will pretty much just lie around the house, anywhere he wants. He\'s my wife\'s. Mine is Sneaker, who\'s lightweight and agile, and climbs all over the various shelves of my room, and tries every once in awhile to run off with a mini or two.

Once I am able to post pics to a website, I\'ll be able to insert them into a forum or two, then you can see them.

Two dogs here - an older, incontenent collie/beagle mix named Frodo, and a charpei/husky mix named Bilbo.

I miss my fish though - the greatest fish to ever swim the waves, Puck - a 10 yr old Oscar who passed on a couple of years ago - if you\'ve never owned an Oscar, you\'ve never owned a fish. :D

Spike the comedy dog...

My faithful companion is Spike, a two year old (on Sunday) Staffordshire Bull Terrier. His is the same as Tuubje\'s but he\'s a boy.

Aww, Finn that puppy is down right cute.

2 cats, Simon (older, grumpy, inverse tabby - dark grey with white underfur) and Hunter (younger, white with tabby patches and a permanent expression of startled idiocy).

They\'re not familiars, although they can be overly familiar - Simon likes to nuzzle and chew on short hair, my husband\'s beard or sometimes armpits (yeah, not a strong sense of self-preservation there).

Hunter is fond of waiting till the middle of the night, running out in the rain, squeaking his way up the stairs and worming under the covers. Nothing like an ice cold wet cat in the small of the back to wake you up at 4am...

Either that or wandering under the bed as far as he can get and vomiting bits of bird in a spiral pattern. Cats, aren\'t they cute! :flip: :(

No familliars for me, I\'ve never had a pet. My mum cant stand stuff in cages, so that leaves cats and dogs, and my mum isn\'t a cat person, and thinks a dog would be too much work.

Actualy, my sister and I did have seamonkeys, but they died a sad fate when my sister, who had heard that light was good for them, put them in the windowsill, and were boiled alive in the sun. Would\'a made good shrimp if they\'d been bigger. :D

Roommates might count...

if they are furry, cuddle up in your lap, don\'t do any work, poop in the floor, and have been genetically bred to be useless on their own. I have had a roommate or two who came close to fitting the description.

ps. Currently I am wanting to be one familiar lighter. Sammy, the cat from hadeeze knocked over my paint tray this morning. It had 3 different WIP in it. All were conversions I spent considerable time on. All were broken. He is still locked in the closet. I suppose I should forgive him and let him out.

pps. Am I the only one with a cat that loves to bust open bags of flock and static grass?
